The Notes In My Sonata

The clock ticks over a million times,
Friday comes again and again,
I sit here under the evening sky,
Wondering how your time passed today,

The sunset, takes my eyes beyond the horizon,
Watching the beam losing its light,
Feels like the sunshine on your face,
Is fading slowly from its source,

Did you tear, did you laugh,
Did you smile or had a beautiful dream?
I'm always thinking of you,
Though we are miles apart,

Distance tries to break our bridge,
Nothing could ever burn these strings,
As long as we have faith in tomorrow,
Close to my heart you'll always be,

Do you still remember the night we had,
Where our eyes meet on the staircase,
I thought I've finally found an angel,
That took me I lifetime to search for,

An impression that I'll always remember,
The moment you first smile to the very last sleep,
You're the reason I came alive,
You're the notes in my sonata.
