Shattered Dreams

Eyes wide open, where am I?
It bleeded, painting the ground,
Paranoid is whats left inside,
The evening.. soaked in red,

Lying awake helplessly,
Cold, no signal of life,
Trembling with fear,
Shivering in darkness,

I scream, calling out your name,
I tried to get to you,
But there was no sound,
Or any sign of you,

It was just about to begin,
The sunlight taking control,
Giving life to every soul,
Is this the end of everything?

Tears running dry,
Unbearable pain, undeniable truth,
My eyes are shutting slowly,
I can only hear my breath,

That evening.. where are you?
I can't move, I can't talk,
I can't breathe.. it stopped,
My heart is pumping no more.
